Traditional Foods
We expanded our...Lakota Traditional Foods Program
in 2020 on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota
Our goal is to nurture and increase the existing forage foods on the ten acres of the Red Cloud Renewable Energy Center where traditional foods such as wild grapes, chokecherries, buffalo berries, Jerusalem artichokes, wild plums, wild turnips, and wild onions already grow.
And we sure could use your help!
in 2020, thanks to our long-term
friend and ally
Trees, Water & People,
we are added...
1,200 buffalo berries, chokecherries, and wild plums
350 chokecherries
350 wild plums
350 buffalo berries
and we look forward to continuing our partnership by adding even more in 2021.
