HENRY RED CLOUD
Henry Red Cloud is the Executive Director and President of the Board of Directors for Red Cloud Renewable and has used his national reputation and network of supporters to develop renewable energy and sustainable building projects and training for tribal members from more than forty tribes. He has more than 25 years’ experience in renewable energy and provides a wide array of training workshops, including five types of solar applications.
GLORIA RED CLOUD
Women's Program Specialist
Gloria Red Cloud is the Women’s Program Specialist for Red Cloud Renewable and oversees development of the gardens, farm, and food forest for Red Cloud Renewable Energy Center. She is trained in solar installation and, as Henry’s wife, has provided essential support keeping the Red Cloud Renewable Energy Center and the Sacred Earth Lodge running over the years.
Director of Communications
Richard Fox was one of the Founders of and managed Henry’s non-profit partner organization, Trees, Water & People for 19 years, before his retirement as their Executive Director in 2017. Richard brings extensive fundraising and project development experience to the organization and serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors.
Dean of Academic Advancement
Dr. Frank McCluskey took his PhD in Philosophy from the New School for Social Research. He has been a National Endowment for the Humanities Post-Doctoral Fellow at Yale University. He was Dean of Online Learning at Mercy College in New York. He served as Provost at American Military University where he oversaw 98,000 students and more than 900 faculty.
Michelle Hindman is Outreach Manager for Red Cloud Renewable, helping grow awareness of and provide education regarding the important work RCR is doing. She dedicates the rest of her time in food systems, supporting community centered organizations, and is co-owner of Blue Heron Imaging, providing aerial mapping services for environmentally friendly farms and energy systems.
John Red Cloud

Henry’s eldest son, John Red Cloud, is a former Science Teacher and Development Associate at the Red Cloud Indian School and was a fundraiser for the American Indian College Fund in Colorado. He serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors and is looking forward to returning to the Pine Ridge Reservation as RCR's Director of Development.
Director of Special Projects
Johnny Weiss is one of the Founders of Solar Energy International (SEI) and one of the world’s most experienced solar energy educators. Johnny serves as RCR’s Special Projects Coordinator and supervises our Solar Industry Material Donations Program.
