The Energy Sovereignty Training Program at Red Cloud Renewable equips participants with the skills needed to improve energy efficiency in homes across Native communities.

Through hands-on training, students learn weatherization techniques that reduce energy costs and improve indoor comfort, while creating sustainable job opportunities.

What you’ll learn:

  • Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Overview

  • Safe Work Practices (OSHA regulations, PPE, workplace safety)

  • Building Science Basics (thermal barriers, air flow, insulation)

  • Air Sealing & Energy Efficiency Techniques

  • Combustion Safety & Indoor Air Quality

  • Hands-On Training with Tools & Equipment

Our curriculum is designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in weatherization. Participants will gain hands-on experience in air sealing, insulation, moisture control, energy efficiency improvements, and safety procedures.

Course Structure:

📍 Location: Red Cloud Renewable Training Facility, Pine Ridge South Dakota.
